Unleash your inner scientist during this cooking camp! Have you ever wondered how worms decompose our compost? Or how about what yeast does to make yummy breads and pizzas? Or what foods can also act as colorful, food-safe dyes? This camp is the place to answer and explore these questions and so many more! Most of our experiments will end up tasting delicious too. Now that's fun science!
Each day we'll learn all about the hidden science behind food through hands on cooking projects and fun science experiments. We'll also play games and explore the farm. This camp will encourage students to think critically about how food is made and how these complex processes affect many aspects our lives. By the end of this camp, students will have the skills and knowledge necessary to begin experimenting with cooking and food science at home!
