Adult Cooking Classes

Seattle Cucina is proud to partner with Eat Local to offer adult cooking classes at locations across Seattle. 

Classes:

Classes can be booked one month in advance and new class schedules are published on the 15th of each month. Private classes are also available upon request for groups of 8 or more. Registration is processed through the Eat Local website. 

Class participants receive a 20% store discount immediately after the class. 
Eat Local samples (equivalent to a full dinner) are offered during the class.

Making Pasta from Scratch

(Traditional or gluten-free)

This 2-hour class teaches you the skills you need to make your own fresh pasta from start to finish. You will learn to mix and roll pasta by hand using Shepherd's Grain flour from the Columbia Plateau.


Classes are limited to 12 participants in Queen Anne and Capitol Hill. 15 participants in Burien.

Introduction to Home Canning

This class is for anyone interested in the age-old tradition of canning and preserving. Canning is all about locking in seasonal flavors to be enjoyed throughout the year!

Students will learn about: 
- Introduction to canning science, safety, equipment & processes
- Local farms and harvest seasons in WA State
- Basic vinegar-based brine and creating unique flavor combinations.

'Mazing Marshmallows

Ever wondered how marshmallows come into being? Come join us and learn how to make fluffy hand-made vanilla marshmallows.

Students will be paired with a partner during portions of the class.
This class is only offered at our Capitol Hill location (8-participants max.).
